Auburn Storage wants your self storage experience to be as simple as possible. If you’re new to renting storage or new to our facility, we’ve put together answers to the questions we hear most. Does renting storage units require rental protection?

Yes, we do require rental protection when you are renting a storage unit. You can provide proof of your own protection plan as you are checking out, or you can purchase one of our protection plans. We offer a few different options, so you are able to choose the best for your situation. Ask our storage experts which plan would be best for you.

Are locks provided/sold on site?

Yes, we sell a wide selection of storage supplies—including locks—in our office. Choose from packing and moving supplies such as box cutters, packing tape, furniture covers and more at our Auburn Storage location.. 

How do I pay my bill online?

Navigate to the top of our website, and you will see a button to go to your account. Click this button to login to your account. From here, click on the storage unit in your account that you wish to pay the bill for. If you prefer not to have to log in, you can also continue as a guest. You can also choose to prepay for your upcoming month’s bill.

How do I reach someone after hours?

If you have an urgent issue after business hours, please call our Auburn Storage location and press 1 to speak with a representative. You can find each storage facility’s phone number listed on our website’s “Contact” page. Additionally, there is a chat button on the website that can support you. Feel free to call or send us an email at any time.

Can I rent short-term?

We offer month-by-month storage leases to allow for flexible rental space. You will never be stuck in a long contract. Rent for a month, a few months, or find your long-term storage solution with Auburn Storage.

Currently, our storage facility offers a variety of storage discounts.

• Customers ages 65+ can receive our senior discount of 5% off monthly.
• Active duty military members can receive 10% off monthly. Thank you for your service!
• Additionally, when you refer a friend, you and your friend both receive $50 off your next storage rental. 

Do you have movers?

No, currently our storage facility does not offer any sort of moving service. However, we list our Neighborhood Friends in store at our facility. Our neighborhood friends board is the perfect resource for finding reliable businesses to help you. Our list of friends also shows discounts they offer our customers. Search through our Neighborhood Friends list to find movers within your area.

Can I live or sleep in a storage unit?

No. Not only is it illegal to inhabit a storage unit—for both humans and animals—but it is extremely unsafe. Storage unit doors lock from the outside and do not have running water to support a residence.

What storage unit size do I need?

At Auburn Storage, we offer a variety of storage unit sizes to meet any renter’s needs. Depending on the amount of items you are looking to store, how long you are looking to store, and what you are trying to store, different storage unit sizes might serve you better. Our online storage calculator can give you a storage unit size recommendation based on the objects you enter. Simply input any items you plan on placing in your storage unit, and this convenient calculator will provide you with an estimate as to how much storage space you will need. Use this estimate as a reference to selecting your correct storage unit. 

When I rent online, can I access my storage unit right away?

Yes. When you rent a storage unit through our contactless storage rentals, you are able to access your storage unit immediately once you receive your confirmation email. The online rental process lets you choose your storage unit and pay for it within minutes. Once the transaction is completed, you can move into your storage unit right away.

Can I access my storage unit at any time?

Our gate hours are from 6 AM – 10 PM.
